Plant Manager – Hydroelectric Power Plant

Overall Objective of the Position:

To plan, coordinate, supervise, and control activities to ensure the proper functioning of operations and maintenance during the development of the hydroelectric power plant, in order to meet the guidelines, quality standards, and safety requirements of the project.

Specific Responsibilities of the Position:

• Plan, organize, and control daily plant operations, ensuring efficiency and continuous energy production
• Plan, direct, and coordinate the operations department
• Plan, execute, and control new predictive maintenance plans; design, execute, and ensure compliance with preventive and predictive maintenance plans
• Plan and coordinate facility inspections to identify and resolve issues
• Develop improvement and modernization plans for the plant
• Coordinate and evaluate the management and performance of subordinate personnel
• Direct daily activities and logistics of field technicians to ensure task completion
• Plan, coordinate, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols to guarantee the safety of plant personnel
• Plan periodic inspections and ensure their execution to evaluate results
• Design and coordinate an environmental safety management plan
• Execute equipment, tools, and supplies procurement plans
• Conduct expense and cost analysis
• Present operational reports and statistical analysis for managerial decision-making
• Improve operational management systems and processes.

Required Profile:

Academic Requirements:

• Electromechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Mechanical Engineer
• Postgraduate degree or specialization in hydroelectric plant engineering, maintenance, and energy efficiency.

Experience:

• 10 or more years of experience in the operation of hydroelectric plants, including energy generation, transmission, and distribution systems
• Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards in the electrical sector
• Proven experience as an operations manager, maintenance manager, or in similar roles
• Experience in planning.
